
Good morning. Here follows a selection of last night's police activity.
The regional police headquarters has handled around 90 cases related to Södermanland County between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Despite the large number of cases, the night's work has mainly dealt with routine cases: for example, wildlife accidents, crime prevention work, drunkenness, mental illness, and various checks on their own initiative or after a call from the public.
At 11:00 PM, police are called to Vilsta camping due to a conflict between two women in their 50s. One woman is said to have thrown the other out of the caravan. Both women claim to have been hit by the other party, and the police have filed two reports of minor assault where the women are suspected of committing crimes against each other.
At 11:00 PM, a car is stopped and checked in a routine check in Nyköping's city center. The driver, a 60-year-old man, is intoxicated and suspected of drunk driving.
12:30 AM, SOS police is called about a traffic accident on Västerleden in Eskilstuna where a car drove into a ditch. The driver, a 20-year-old man, is still at the scene and is not injured. However, he is very drunk and is taken into custody according to the Law on the Temporary Custody of Intoxicated Persons and is suspected of drunk driving.
At 4:30 AM, police are called to a multi-family house in central Eskilstuna, where several people are seen breaking up a fence near the house. On the scene, three boys aged 15 to 18 are found, who are suspected of vandalism.
