Here follows a selection of events from last night:

23:26 Assault, Umeå:
Police patrol is ordered to central Umeå due to a report that a man is alleged to have been violent towards another person at a bar. There is no information available on whether the injured person required medical care. 

The man, who had left the bar, is found in the vicinity. As he is suspected of being under the influence of drugs, he is taken in for a drug test. A suspected drug is seized from the man. 

An investigation is conducted and a report is filed regarding assault, illegal threats, and minor drug offenses. 

The man, who is in his mid-30s, is released on bail.

00:41 Illegal driving, Skellefteå:
Police patrol in Eriksberg stops and inspects a vehicle. The driver, a man, lacks the necessary license to drive a car. The vehicle is seized to prevent future traffic offenses and a report is filed regarding serious illegal driving. 

The case is handled using the "Faster Prosecution" method. 

04:32 Wildlife accident, Vindeln:
Accident involving a truck and a reindeer on E12 between Tuggensele and Lillsele. No personal injuries reported. The reindeer died in connection with the accident and the affected Sami community is notified of this. 

06:08 Wildlife accident, Vilhelmina:
Accident involving a car and an elk on regional road 1067/regional road 1075, Malgomaj. No personal injuries reported. The fate of the elk is unclear and a tracker is called out. 

06:14 Wildlife accident, Skellefteå:
Accident involving a car and a roe deer on regional road 829, Södra Bergsbyn. No personal injuries reported. The roe deer was injured in connection with the accident and a tracker is called out. 

Other:
Police have also conducted checks on people and vehicles that did not result in any suspicion of crime.
