
A fire is burning strongly in a high-rise apartment building in Baronbackarna.
A fire has broken out in an apartment on Lars Wivallius street and it is supposed to be open flames. It is unclear if anyone has been injured at this time.
Police, fire department and ambulance are on the scene and handling the fire as well as obtaining a better situation overview. The public is urged to listen to the personnel on the scene and not to expose themselves to unnecessary risks.
The patrols are assisting the fire department primarily and making sure they can work undisturbed.
Update: A gathering place will be set up. The public is urged not to head to the location right now due to heavy smoke development. The inner courtyard is cordoned off as a safety measure. We have been in contact with the apartment owner where the fire is suspected to have started.
Update 15.56: The fire has been extinguished, but there is still some smoke spreading at the scene. Fans have been installed to ventilate this out. There are still no reports of personal injuries. One person is said to have inhaled some smoke and is being looked after by ambulance personnel.
