Zlatan Ibrahimovic is giving away his Swedish padel courts, writes Dagens Industri. I want to give back, he tells the newspaper.

The four padel facilities are located in Jönköping, Örebro, Skövde and Uppsala and are owned by the Padelzenter chain that Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped start. In recent years, several Swedish padel chains have struggled with declining finances and the so-called padel death. This also applies to Ibrahimovic's courts, which suffered multi-million losses last year.

Padelzenter will now move its operations to Italy, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic also lives and works as a sports advisor for the club AC Milan.

"Success is not built remotely, but through presence and commitment. To be able to really have an impact, I need to be where things happen, and right now it's happening in Italy, where my family and I also have our lives," he tells Dagens Industri.

Anyone interested is encouraged to contact Padelzenter's email. Ibrahimovic hopes that they will continue to be padel courts.

However, he intends to keep a Swedish track.

I need somewhere to train when I'm at home, he says.
