In March, a man in his 60s was charged with using threats and violence to force his wife to sell sexual services to over 120 men.
On Wednesday, P4 Västernorrland reported that the woman paid 42,000 kronor in taxes on income connected to the sex purchases.
The woman told the radio that she had told the authority that the sex purchases were made under threat. The Tax Agency, in turn, referred to the Income Tax Act.
The defendant, who was arrested in October last year, is suspected of pimping, eight counts of rape against the victim and four attempted rapes. He denies the charges.
