What the parties want to do for your wallet ahead of the election

The Moderates

SEK 5,000 more in the wallets of families with children. The promise will be achieved, among other things, through:

Broad tax cuts on work, a special in-work tax credit for parents, free preschool and monthly passes as a tax-free benefit for those who commute to work by public transport.

Tax-free ISK savings up to SEK 500,000.

Reduced tax on pensions and for those working after the target retirement age.

Christian Democrats

Child benefit increased to SEK 2,000.

Mother's bonus of SEK 36,900, deposited into the PPM account upon birth.

Reduced capital gains tax on the sale of a home. Eventually completely eliminated for those who have lived in their home for 16 years or more.

Special earned income tax deduction for parents.

Reduced income tax for everyone who works, as well as targeted tax cuts for the long-term unemployed, newly arrived people, young people up to 23 years of age and people who work after turning 69.

Liberals

"Child deduction" in the form of a targeted earned income tax deduction for families of SEK 10,000 per child per year.

A small child RUT for families with children under 12 years of age, which means a 70 percent discount on things like cleaning and babysitting.

Gender equality bonus of SEK 30,000 per child for parents who share parental leave equally.

Halved state income tax - from 20 to 10 percent.

Tax-free ISK savings up to SEK 500,000.

Abolished electricity tax when charging electric vehicles and increased mileage compensation for electric cars.

Sweden Democrats

Strengthened high-cost protection in dental care for everyone, so that patients pay 10 percent of the reference price for most treatments.

Keep the reduced food VAT permanently.

Gradually reduced electricity tax to EU minimum level.

The waiting period deduction should be reviewed for contact-related professions.

Abolished general payroll tax in sparsely populated and rural areas, as well as an offer of student loan forgiveness for shortage occupations in sparsely populated and rural areas.

Social Democrats

Doubled child and student allowances for Christmas and summer holidays.

Cheaper dental care, no one should pay more than 10 percent of the price for dental treatments. Free up to the age of 23.

Abolished the qualifying deduction for everyone, with high-cost protection for small and medium-sized companies.

Restored high-cost coverage for medications and cheaper medicine for the elderly.

Permanent reinforcement of the housing allowance for families with children.

Employment pension (for the years before the target age) which is paid both through the pension system and the state budget.

Strengthened unemployment insurance fund.

The Green Party

A Sweden card for public transport of SEK 499 for adults and SEK 249 for children.

Increased child allowance by SEK 350 per month, plus an extra supplement of SEK 800 for single parents.

Increased housing allowance.

Strengthened high-cost protection for medicines.

Abolished qualifying deduction.

Electric car bonus of up to SEK 60,000, increased premium for leasing an electric car in rural areas.

The Left Party

A "baby allowance" of 15,000 kronor for first-time parents.

Increased child allowance by SEK 500, and a single-person supplement of SEK 300.

Increased wages in female-dominated professions in welfare.

High-cost dental care coverage - maximum SEK 1,450 per year and free dental care until the age of 23.

Pension increased by SEK 2,000.

A Swedish public transport ticket of 450 kronor per month.

Abolished qualifying deduction.

The Centre Party

Reduced income tax for everyone earning under SEK 40,000, by converting earned income tax deductions into a tax-free basic salary (up to SEK 15,300 per month).

Increased child allowance for single parents.

Scrapped allowance for working students.

Electric car bonus of SEK 50,000 when purchasing and a subsidy of SEK 2,000 for leasing an environmentally friendly car.

Reduced costs for electricity, through deductions for, for example, solar cells and heat pumps, but also reduced electricity tax, slowed increases in electricity network fees and paused power fees.
