The French media giant Canal+ is on its way to being listed on the stock exchange in London, according to sources to Financial Times. The company, which is the largest owner of the media company Viaplay Group, is also, according to CEO Maxime Saada, on the hunt for further acquisitions.
In the interview, the Asian streaming service Viu is mentioned as a potential candidate, but also a takeover of Viaplay, where they already have an agreement with the Czech PPF, which is currently the next largest owner.
It's an opportunity and there are others. I want to be in a position where we can consolidate, says Saada to FT about potential takeovers.
