Time came however with a bit too much tailwind.

I do not feel in super form. I am in good form, but I should be at my best at the World Championship in the middle of September. It is still acceptable though. I am satisfied but at the same time I feel that it was a small start mistake, says Larsson who competes for IF Göta Karlstad.

The sprinter followed up the fine time by running in 10.12 seconds, this time with the wind at -0.1 meters/second.

His personal best, as well as the Swedish record, on 100 meters is 10.08. Larsson thus delivered the two second-best times in Swedish history on the distance.

Second in the final

I am satisfied with that, but it should go faster later, says Larsson.

Despite the superb time, the Swede came second in the final, behind Odaine McPherson, Jamaica. He ran in 10.09 seconds. Third became Udodi Onwuzurike, Nigeria, in 10.13.

Vanessa Kamga, Hässelby SK, won the women's discus in Varberg. The 26-year-old threw exactly 64 meters.

"Proper cold shower"

Kamga's personal best, which is also the Swedish record, is 65.14 meters.

I feel that it is very little that needs to happen today for that 64-throw to become over 65. Of course, that's what I was chasing, says Kamga.

The competition was delayed by ten minutes after a rain shower.

We got a proper cold shower before we were going to start. Then you get started a bit later in the competition than you want, but it's also a good experience, says Kamga.

Second in the women's discus became the Portuguese Liliana Cá, who threw 63.34 meters. Denia Caballero, Cuba, became third. She threw 59.14.

Stable Ståhl

Daniel Ståhl, Spårvägens FK, won the men's discus overwhelmingly – despite having his first four throws disqualified.

The Swede threw a stable 66.94 meters, over 6 meters longer than the Dutchman Shaquille Emanuelson in second place.

Ståhl's partner Fanny Roos also delivered. The shot putter, who competes for Malmö AI, threw 19.14 meters and won clearly.

It was also a Swedish victory in the men's long jump. Thobias Montler, Malmö AI, jumped 7.79 meters.

Julia Henriksson, Malmö AI, became third in the women's 100 meters, with a time of 11.46. The winner Liranyi Alonzo, Dominican Republic, ran in 11.15. Alana Reid from Jamaica came second in 11.23.

Maja Åskag, Råby-Rekarne FIF, won the women's long jump with 6.41 meters. The Indian Shaili Singh came second with 6.25 meters.
