Trump writes that he gave Iran "chance after chance" to sign an agreement on the nuclear program before his 60-day ultimatum expired.

"I said, in the strongest terms, to them, 'Just do it,' but no matter how much they tried, no matter how close they came, they did not do it," he continues in the post on Truth Social.

The US military has decided to move military forces and equipment to the Middle East, partly as a preparation for possible Iranian attacks, according to high-ranking officials quoted by the AP news agency.

At the same time, the news agency reports that the US destroyer USS Thomas Hudner has been ordered to sail to the eastern Mediterranean. Another US Navy destroyer, unclear which one, has been ordered to begin sailing towards the eastern part of the Mediterranean.

Normally, the US has around 30,000 troops stationed in the Middle East, but since October 2024, there have been up to 43,000 American troops in the region.

"There will be more"

He had previously told Fox News that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the attack on Iran was carried out.

Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb, and we hope to return to the negotiating table, he said early on Friday.

He also told ABC News that he thought the attack was "excellent".

And there will be more. Much more.

Later, he writes on Truth Social that Iran may get "another chance".

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) warns against escalating the conflict in the Middle East.

What is happening now in a unstable region risks making things much worse, he says.

Kristersson: Increased risk of terror

At a press conference with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson warns that the situation in the Middle East can escalate further.

There is a risk that terror threats on European soil will increase as a result of this, he adds.

NATO Secretary-General says that it is of the highest priority that all allies, including the US, now do everything to calm the situation.

Prime Minister Kristersson also says that the Swedish embassy in Tehran is following the development closely. So far, there are no reports of Swedish casualties.

Hamas condemns

Criticism also comes from Oman, which has acted as a mediator in the talks. From Saudi Arabia comes a "strong condemnation" of the attacks, which it says violates international law.

Even Hamas, which is involved in a war with Israel, condemns the attack. According to the AFP news agency, the terrorist organization calls the escalation "dangerous" and warns that it can destabilize the region.
