Iran will still have to leave the United States immediately after Friday's game, a department spokesman said.
Ahead of the first two games in Los Angeles, the team was not allowed to travel until the day before, a decision Iran has strongly criticised.
"I believe this will mark a dark point in the modern history of the World Cup," said Hedayat Mombeini, secretary general of the Iranian Football Federation, after the World Cup opener against New Zealand, a 2-2 draw.
Iran's final group match against Egypt kicks off at 5:00 a.m. local time in Sweden on Saturday.
