The Swedish Football Association's disciplinary board announces that Mikael Harbosen Haga is suspended for four matches, which means the rest of the season. The suspension follows a report of inappropriate behavior in connection with Umeå's match against Sundsvall at the end of September.
To Västerbottens-Kuriren, the player tells about his view of the situation.
It was probably two comments in total. One at half-time where I probably said it was some kind of parody. Then a comment after the match where I apparently had asked how much they (the referees) cost. Unnecessary of me, but on a football pitch and with a "football jargon" I do not think it's extremely serious, says Harbosen Haga.
He says that he believes the club will appeal the penalty.
I must take responsibility for my own words, it's my own fault and I could have kept my mouth shut, but I think it's very, very strict, says the 25-year-old.
Umeå is last in Superettan with eight points up to Trelleborg on a qualifying spot.
