They are suspected of offering Congo's president a stake in an oil discovery. Now two Norwegians are being charged with bribery.

According to the indictment, the two Norwegians and a Norway-based company are alleged to have paid the Congolese president and his family $25 million, equivalent to over 200 million kronor.

The main bribe, which is said to have taken place in 2016, was allegedly to secure an ownership stake in an oil license the Norway-based company wanted.
