Three people are prosecuted after the murder of a woman in her 60s who was found shot to death in a residence in Akalla in northwestern Stockholm on October 22 last year, announces Solna District Court. According to the prosecution, the trio had far-reaching plans to kill another woman the same day – but did not succeed in carrying out the murder.

The three individuals – two men in their 40s and 50s, and a woman in her 30s are prosecuted for the murder of a woman, and attempted murder of another on October 22, 2024.

The man in his 40s is accused of having fired the fatal shots, while the others are suspected of aiding and abetting murder.

The woman is suspected, among other things, of having purchased clothes and arranged for a car and hotel before the murder. The man in his 50s is accused of having provided the murder weapon and driven the other man to the crime scenes.

According to the prosecution, it was only "temporary circumstances" that prevented the other woman from being shot dead on the same day at another address in northwestern Stockholm. The murder suspect man is accused of having rung her doorbell, with the intention of shooting her dead.

The murdered woman was a relative of a man who has been linked to a criminal network in northwestern Stockholm. The man has previously himself been subjected to an attempted murder and has also been prosecuted in a case concerning a gang murder, but was acquitted in both the district court and the court of appeal.
