A few hours after the coordinated attack on Iran by the US and Israel, people gathered in several places in Europe to protest the Iranian regime and also to support the attacks. At Norra Bantorget in Stockholm, many supporters of Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the last Shah of Iran, were present. Amid the crowd, the "Lion and Sun" flag, used before the Shah was overthrown in 1979, was visible, as were US and Israeli flags.
Among the speakers were Liberal Party leader Simona Mohamsson and the Social Democrats' spokesperson on labour market policy, Ardalan Shekarabi.
Similar demonstrations have also been held in Berlin and Munich, Germany.
