The 24-year-old sprinter, who will run 60 meters since 200 is not on the European Championship program, is one of 13 new names that expand the squad to 20, 9 women and 11 men.

At the latest indoor European Championship, 2023, Sweden took four medals, one silver and three bronzes. National team captain Kajsa Bergqvist has no medal target for the competitions in Apeldoorn, which will be decided on March 6 and 9.

"Now the focus is on creating the best possible conditions for everyone ahead of each competition," she says in a press release.

Earlier, pole vault star Armand Duplantis has chosen to decline the European Championship. Instead, he is betting on the indoor World Championship in Nanjing, China, later in March.

About two weeks ago, the first seven names were selected for Sweden's European Championship squad, including Andreas Almgren and Andreas Kramer.
