A proposal for more money to municipalities that say yes to wind power is underway. The industry senses a clear tailwind, according to a survey commissioned by Svensk Vindenergi.

Nine out of ten wind power builders believe that the economic incentives to municipalities, linked to their share of property tax, "will affect municipalities' attitude to wind power more positively".

Eight out of ten project developers also believe that the announced proposal for revenue sharing with nearby residents of wind power will have a positive effect. On the other hand, they believe less in the effect of buying out properties located near a wind turbine.

The survey is based on responses from 48 wind power project developers/owners.
