The Stockholm stock exchange fell in the opening on Friday but has since turned upwards. The broad OMSX index closed at plus 0.4 percent.
Reporting truck manufacturer Volvo missed its targets for the third quarter. The stock topped the OMXS30 index despite this and rose 3.6 percent. SKF also has a tailwind and rises by 2.8 percent.
Getinge, which also released its report in the morning, fares the worst and falls by 5 percent.
The stock exchanges in Paris and Frankfurt rise by 0.4 percent, while London falls by 0.3 percent.
In Asia, the major stock exchanges closed on a plus. Early in the morning, new GDP figures from China were released, showing a growth of 4.6 percent, which was slightly higher than expected.
Before the stock exchange opening in New York, the outlook is mixed in the pre-trading.
The gold price has reached new record levels and is traded for the first time at over 2,700 dollars per ounce (31 grams). At the Stockholm stock exchange's closing, the oil price was at 72.4 dollars per barrel of North Sea oil.
