A hacker group is demanding a ransom to not leak personal data and set a deadline for today, Sunday.
But now Sportadmin gets an additional two days to pay - the hacker group is postponing the deadline to Tuesday, according to TV4. The information is confirmed by Jennie Everhed at Lime Technologies.
The company announced in January that the hacker attack had occurred, but claims not to have been in direct contact with the attackers on the advice of the police and security experts.
So why are the hackers postponing the deadline? It doesn't matter if you've said you're not going to negotiate with them.
That's one way to put it. We have no direct contact with the attackers and don't know more at this point, it's a police matter.
Sportadmin is used to manage the administration of sports associations and teams, among other things through an app. The company claims to have personal data from 1.1 million customers from 1,700 sports associations.
Among other things, addresses of children and adults with protected identities are at risk of being revealed.
We appeal to everyone's common sense not to download or spread this information in any way. Nor the screenshots that are circulating now, which would further exacerbate the damage for those affected.
