Two days after the deadliest school shooting in Swedish history, Ibrahim and his family still do not know if their cousin is alive.
We're not doing well as a family. We're thinking about her and just waiting for them to give us an update. They were supposed to give us an update yesterday, but they said there was so much, so we'll find out today or tomorrow.
Helpful and calm
The family is taking care of the woman's children while they wait for an update. They hope that she may still be receiving care somewhere.
We hope she's alive.
He describes his cousin as a calm person.
She's helpful and takes care of her children in the best way. She's close to her family and relatives and has no problems with anyone, says Ibrahim.
The last thing the family knows is that the woman got a ride to Risbergska, where she's studying at Komvux, and was dropped off just minutes before the first alarms about the incident.
When we heard about it, we called her a hundred times. We couldn't get into the school, it was blocked off and so on. We had to stand there and wait.
Then we went to the hospital to see if she ended up there. There were a lot of people running from the school who were in shock, we thought maybe she was among them, says Ibrahim.
Ongoing wait
Since then, they've been in contact with others who were at the school and who told them that the woman was shot.
Someone told her, "Don't run towards the door". But she's supposed to have been shocked and run towards the perpetrator, he says.
Until the update comes, the family is left in uncertainty.
She has children. We're not doing anything else but just waiting and wondering. We're just thinking about how it's going to be. What are they going to say?
