The Moderates are going to the polls under the slogan "Efforts should pay off - crimes should be punished". Although the message is recognizable, voters should not expect the next term to be like the current one, says Kristersson. He describes the last four years as a "clean-up job", not least in migration and crime policy. But if the Tidö parties win the election again, he wants to change focus.

Now there is more room to focus on everyday crime, sexual crimes, basement burglaries and welfare crimes, says Kristersson.

We are staying the course on these issues and moving forward with the experiences we have from serious crime.

“Larger margin”

The Moderates also want to prioritize strengthening the economy for working families, including through a new earned-income tax credit. The Moderates have previously promised that a family with two children will receive an additional 5,000 kronor per month to spend.

It gives a little more room in everyday life and creates the conditions for big dreams like buying a house and starting a family, all the things that Sweden needs more of, says Kristersson.

A third main promise is that healthcare should be reliable and that waiting times should be shortened. The Moderates promise to ensure that resources for welfare will increase every year.

We have a fantastic healthcare system in principle, but many have had to wait too long, says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M).

Joint Tidö proposals

The Moderates will present more detailed election promises closer to the election in September. In addition, there may be joint proposals from the Tidö parties.
