A lot was at stake in the World Cup for half of Sweden's team in the final biathlon relay before the Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
Johanna Skottheim, back from illness, started for the Swedes, had a flawless first leg and shot clean.
Linn Gestblom then took over, applied good pressure and put Sweden into the lead.
"Seems to work"
They were both looking for strong performances in the hunt for the last Olympic spots. That didn't seem to affect their mental state.
"It's nothing I think about while I'm skiing. I just tried to have a good race and catch those who were ahead of me," says Gestblom in SVT's broadcast.
"I'm really happy. It's been a bit of a mixed bag, especially recovery when you haven't trained or competed. But it seems to work with that extra pressure. It feels a little more positive now," says Skottheim.
After the strong start, it was time for the Öberg sisters to try to bring it home.
Elvira Öberg had some problems with the shooting but caught up and gave Hanna Öberg a good position before the final leg. Many nations refused to give up; as many as seven were within 17 seconds before the final leg.
"Tried to be offensive"
"It wasn't my best standing series, a bit of a shame. It's going fast today. Completely different skiing compared to last week. But it was fun that I could chase a bit," says Elvira Öberg.
Hanna Öberg was strong in the final leg and, after some problems in the prone shooting, was able to bring Sweden to third place.
The victory went to Norway, with Italy second.
"It felt good. It's intense here. I got to try a lot of things today, a lot to take away. I managed to get on the podium and tried to be offensive," said Hanna Öberg.
There are two remaining Olympic spots on the women's side. Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg, Anna Magnusson and Ella Halvarsson have already secured their Olympic spots.
