Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist wants Sweden to switch from the krona to the euro. But the Center leader does not want a referendum on the issue.

Thand Ringqvist thinks that the issue should be addressed in an election campaign "at the right time" and not in a new referendum, she says on SVT's 30 Minutes.

The Center Party, the Moderates and the Christian Democrats have opened up to a euro inquiry, which the Liberals have supported for a long time. Opinion, as in the 2003 referendum, is negative towards the euro.

The agenda for the world is developing day by day. If it is the case that we in Sweden lose decision-making power and influence because we are not part of the eurozone, there are both political and economic things that need to be weighed for this, she says.

She wants the issue to be investigated as soon as possible, but does not believe the euro will be introduced before 2030.
