Both the men's and women's national teams as well as AIK's men will play on the surface during a test period, writes the Swedish Football Association and AIK in a press release.
On Tuesday, the men's national team will play a friendly match against Northern Ireland, and on April 4, the women's national team will play their Nations League match against Italy on hybrid grass (a mix of natural and artificial grass) at the national arena.
"We want to create the absolute best conditions for our representative teams when it's match time," says the association's football manager Kim Källström in a press release.
AIK will play on hybrid grass for two rounds in the Allsvenskan.
After that, the test will be evaluated before a permanent decision is made on the matter.
"We have had good dialogue with AIK and the arena company during the winter and made a joint assessment that we want to test hybrid grass as we believe it is a good solution going forward," says Källström.
The poor grass on the arena has been a recurring issue since the opening in the fall of 2012.
