For the eighth month in a row, the figures are pointing downwards in Europe for the electric car manufacturer Tesla, shows new statistics from the industry organization ACEA.
In July, 8,220 vehicles were registered, a decline of 36 percent compared to the same month last year.
This is happening at the same time as the Chinese competitor BYD registered 9,130 vehicles in July, which means an increase compared to the same month last year of 201 percent.
Tesla has been struggling with declining sales figures for several months, which many believe is due to the owner Elon Musk's political commitment within the Trump administration, and for his expressed support for the German far-right party AFD.
