The controversial American fashion photographer Terry Richardson was blacklisted by most major fashion houses and magazines in 2017 after several allegations of sexual abuse.
However, several pictures taken by him are now being published in the British magazine Arena Homme. The pictures depict, among other things, a child with a pistol and graffiti with the text "Punk rock ruined my life".
Editor-in-chief Ashley Heath tells The Guardian that the pictures are a personal tribute to the late film director David Lynch, and that the publication is not an attempt to revive his career.
The publication is now sparking criticism within the fashion and modeling world, where one is questioning why Richardson is allowed to return without taking responsibility or apologizing for previous allegations.
Terry Richardson is known in the fashion world for taking challenging and controversial pictures. He has also directed, among other things, Miley Cyrus' music video for "Wrecking ball" and Beyoncé's video for "XO".
According to The Guardian, stories about the photographer's behavior have been circulating since 2001, including that he has forced young female models to take on challenging poses and pretend to perform sexual acts on him. He has himself denied all accusations.
