Politicians are most popular among Moderate and Liberal voters, with 72 percent in each group. Trust is lowest among Left Party voters, where the corresponding figure is 44 percent.
In the last election, the overall share was 54 percent and in 2018 it was 59 percent. Historically, there has also been an increase since the surveys began. Between 1991 and 2006, the share with high confidence was between 45 and 54 percent.
However, politicians had the highest level of trust among voters in 2010, at 70 percent.
The polling station survey shows a combination of voters who responded that they have very great and fairly great trust in Swedish politicians in general.
The importance of party leaders for each party's election has also been examined, with Jimmie Åkesson (SD) and Ebba Busch (KD) at the top. Among Sweden Democrat voters, 82 percent believe that the party leader has great importance, and among Christian Democrats, 78 percent. Among Left Party and Green Party voters, the same figure is 39 and 38 percent, respectively.
More than 13,000 voters at 93 polling stations and 68 early voting locations have responded to Valu this year.
