Alpine talent Gustav Wissting, 20, took silver in slalom at the Junior World Championship in Tarvisio.
It was the second Swedish medal in as many days – and the fifth in the championship.
Wissting delivered a fine first run where he was 19 hundredths behind Norwegian Theodor Brækken. However, it was a Norwegian lead that the 20-year-old from Lycksele could not catch up with.
In the end, he was 36 hundredths behind Brækken, who took the gold, but ten hundredths ahead of Brit Luca Carrick-Smith, who snatched the bronze.
Swede Max Uhlir also delivered a fine performance with a fifth place.
Wissting's silver was the second in two days after Cornelia Öhlund's gold in Wednesday's slalom.
Earlier in the championship, Fabian Ax Swartz took bronze in giant slalom, Liza Backlund and Moa Landström took silver in team combination, and silver was also achieved in team parallel through Lisa Backlund, Albin Larsson, Astrid Hedin, and Alexander Ax Schwarz.
