Swedish Golfer Jesper Svensson Shines in Canada PGA Tour Debut

The Swedish golfer Jesper Svensson – debutant this year on the PGA tour – stood for a fantastic round during the second day's play of the competition in Canada. Svensson was responsible for six birdies and only one bogey for 65 strokes (–5) and rises with his six strokes under par in total in the result list.

After the second round has been completed on the golf course outside Toronto, Svensson is in a shared 18th place.

Except for an initial shared tenth place in January in Hawaii, Svensson has otherwise had a tough debut spring on the PGA tour. He has not finished top 25 in any other competition and has also missed four qualifying limits.

It went worse for Alex Norén during the second round. The 42-year-old went one over par for the day and thus missed the qualifying limit.

So did Tim Widing – who, like Svensson, is a debutant on the US tour – who played the second round two strokes under par.

Swedish world eighth Ludvig Åberg had a strong start to the second round with three birdies on his first five holes. When the round was completed, he is a total of four strokes under par and in a shared 38th place.

American Cameron Champ leads the competition at a total of –12.
