The Swedish Defence University and the universities in Umeå and Malmö will together develop a security training that can be included in teacher and preschool teacher training.
The mass shooting at Campus Risbergska in February, when ten people were killed, showed that the security in Swedish schools needs to be strengthened, according to the government.
”Teachers need to get better support in crisis management and the security in school strengthened. Therefore, we are investing three million kronor to develop security training that can be included in teacher training”, says Minister for Education Johan Pehrson in a press release.
