Bro Hof and the LIV tour were reportedly in negotiations last year.
It hasn't led anywhere yet, but we as a facility are very positive and that would be really desirable. LIV is also very positive towards us, says the club's chairman and owner Björn Örås to the newspaper and continues:
We would think it would be great if it happened already in 2026, but that is not realistic. We need longer notice in the form of sales and arrangements that take time. The course is the least of the problems. We can play on it tomorrow.
According to the Swedish Golf Association's deputy general secretary Bo Bengtsson, the association is not strictly legally involved. But their position is clear.
"We are not positive about the LIV tour and that type of competition system. Then we will see what happens with the tour in the future," he says.
The LIV tour, owned by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (Pif), was started in 2022 and has been criticized for being part of the country's so-called sports laundry.
