In Kitzbühel, Austria, Kristoffer Jakobsen secured a place on Sweden's Olympic squad for the Winter Games in Italy.

However, the general rehearsal in Schladming ended just like previous competitions during the season - Jakobsen did not get a result.

The 31-year-old slalom skier managed to clear the first two poles but then tripped on the third, ending his run.

Jakobsen and Fabian Ax Swartz - who made it to the second heat and finished in 13th place - are the only men's skiers that the Swedish Olympic Committee is sending to the Italian Olympics.

Gustav Wissting and William Hansson did not advance to the second round.

Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen won, ahead of compatriot Atle Lie McGrath, with Frenchman Clément Noël in third place.

Corrected: In a previous version, the order of the awards podium was stated incorrectly.
