A hacker group claims to have struck against Swedish Energy Agency.

The attack is said to have occurred on Saturday evening and the group claims to have obtained 280 GB of data, among other things, Aftonbladet writes. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) is involved.

"We are aware of the information from the hacker group and take it very seriously. We are now investigating this information further and taking relevant measures", says Erik Nordman, security protection manager at Svenska kraftnät in a press release.

"We are also in contact with other authorities that have expertise in the area”, he continues.

The government-owned Svenska kraftnät is the responsible authority for the operation of the national grid and also responsible for ensuring that the power system works in a crisis, war or during other serious disruptions.
