Suspected Shadow Fleet - how long can they stay in Swedish waters?

The tanker Sea Owl I and the bulk carrier Caffa have been banned from use by the Swedish Transport Agency and are currently anchored outside Trelleborg.

This means that they are not allowed to sail further until a number of deficiencies have been addressed.

"Ownership has been very unclear from the start. We will need to find out who is responsible for the ships," Lindholm says.

Could it be about months?

"It's really hard to say. But because there are so many uncertainties surrounding ownership, the challenge of resolving this quickly increases."
