The man in his 25s who is suspected of the murder of the ambulance nurse in Harmånger was not affected by a serious mental disorder during the act.

The statement comes from the National Board of Forensic Medicine, which assesses that the man should not be referred to forensic psychiatric care.

It was at the end of September that an ambulance nurse responded to an alarm in Harmånger in Nordanstigs municipality. The nurse, a woman in her 45s, was attacked with a knife when she knocked on the man's door and later died from the injuries, according to the National Board of Forensic Medicine.

The suspect is said to have called for the ambulance himself. He had previously been drinking alcohol and had scratched himself on the wrist and arm.

The man is suspected on probable cause, the higher degree of suspicion, and has admitted to certain parts of the sequence of events.
