Student Housing Cheating Easier to Monitor with New Regulations

It will be easier for those who provide student housing to check if a tenant actually studies, and thus contribute to reduced cheating. This will be done by landlords getting access to information from the university's study and admission register electronically.

"Student housing is for students and no one else. This change makes it easier for several different actors to check information in a faster and more efficient way", says Minister of Education Johan Pehrson (The Liberals) in a press release.

The regulatory change comes into force in August.
