Among the most traded stocks in the OMXS30 index, the defense group Saab and the clothing chain H&M are rising by 2.5 and 2.2 percent, respectively.
The cloud service company Sinch is also rising, up by 3.4 percent.
Prior to Tuesday's trading start, Skanska has announced that the construction company has received an order worth 4.5 billion kronor in New Jersey, USA. The order concerns the demolition of an existing swing bridge and the construction of a new so-called lift bridge. Skanska's share is rising by 1.5 percent.
During the night's trading in Asia, there were moderate increases following the sharp declines on Monday, when, among other things, the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell by 4 percent.
On Wall Street, the S&P500 index turned upwards in Monday's closing trade and closed at plus 0.6 percent. In futures trading ahead of Tuesday's stock market opening, leading indices are hovering around the zero line.
The gold price has reached new historic record levels near 3,150 dollars per ounce (31.1 grams) ahead of the Trump administration's next tariff announcement, which is expected on Wednesday evening Swedish time. Gold is a common refuge for investors in times of turmoil – but the price is also affected by central banks around the world increasing their gold reserves.
The Stockholm Stock Exchange fell by 1.7 percent on Monday. With Tuesday's increase, the OMXS index has fallen by 0.1 percent since the turn of the year.
