On Facebook, the Social Democrats’ top candidate in the region, Aida Hadzialic, writes that M and V have joined forces to sabotage all the conditions for a minority government in the centre.
She links the deadlock to the efforts to form a new government. "The situation is not made easier by the fact that we are receiving signals that national representatives are keeping their party colleagues in the Stockholm Region in a deadlock."
Sharp attack
Even C’s top candidate in the region, Michaela Haga, launches a harsh attack on V, writing that V has announced that "they intend to vote for all proposals from the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats in order to sabotage a minority government."
Haga claims that V’s national party secretary has said that the party’s regional representatives will vote for the Moderates’ tax cut.
V in the region neither wants to deny nor confirm the various claims. But V’s top candidate writes on Facebook that "accusing the Left Party of ‘sabotage’ is pointing the finger in the wrong direction."
Minority rule
As in the government issue, V demands to be allowed to join the regional government in order to support a red-green majority consisting of S, V, MP and C. Instead, S and MP have tried to form a minority government together with C and L.
During the last term, V agreed to cooperate with a red-green government without joining the regional government.
"Being decent for four years has instead resulted in total exclusion," V’s vice-chair Ida Gabrielsson wrote on social media.
In several other regions, S, V and C are part of the same governing coalition.
