Actor and director Olivia Wilde chose to protest against the U.S. immigration agency ICE in connection with the Sundance Film Festival.

With a pin on her dress reading "Ice Out," loosely translated as "out with Ice," Olivia Wilde showed her support on the red carpet. It was at the premiere of her film "The Invite," which she directed and also starred in.

"I can't believe we're seeing people murdered on the streets. It's unimaginable and we can't normalize this," Wilde said of the weekend's shooting in Minnesota.

Olivia Wilde also directed sharp criticism at the Trump administration, which she said she believes is now trying to curtail the right to protest.

"We have a government that is somehow trying to find excuses to legitimize this, but we Americans don't do that," Wilde said.
