I assume that we will resume the examination given that we now know that the process surrounding Landerholm will drag on. And we are not examining Landerholm but how Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has handled the matter, she says.
It was recently clarified that the negotiations in the court of appeal against the former national security adviser will be delayed. Likely, they will be held first after the parliamentary election next year. Although the verdict in the district court, which acquitted Landerholm, is appealed by the prosecution, Nilsson believes that the Prime Minister's actions can be investigated "as soon as possible."
The district court did not believe that Landerholm had been grossly negligent when he forgot secret documents in an unlocked safe at a conference center outside Stockholm. The forgotten documents were one of several security breaches that Landerholm made during his time in the position.
How the other parties stand on resuming the examination is unclear.
This is a matter that must be brought up to date. We will raise this issue in the near future, she says.
