"We are prepared to begin regular negotiations with anyone who wants to break the Social Democratic rule that has lasted for over a hundred years in the region," the Sweden Democrats for Region Örebro County write in a press release.
The party wants to negotiate in the region with the Örebro Party, the Moderates, the Christian Democrats and the Liberals. Together, the parties provisionally have 37 of 71 seats.
According to the preliminary results, SD lost 5.7 percentage points from the last regional election, down to 8.9 percent. The Örebro Party received 15.5 percent - up 11.1 percentage points from 2022. The party thus becomes the third-largest in the region.
