It is the Swedish Tornedalians' National Association – Tornionlaaksolaiset (STR-T) that reports Sunna, who is known for his political art.
The association's operations manager Eva Kvist is depicted in one of Sunna's paintings, together with other people who have been significant for minority culture, along with, among other things, a quartered reindeer, a chainsaw, and a bucket filled with blood.
It's macabre, she tells SR.
Anders Sunna emphasizes to SR that he also has Tornedalian heritage and that the exhibition is about power structures between different interests. He also means that the association's report does him a favor.
They're making this (painting, ed. note) even more noticed, and the problem comes to the surface, he says.
The report is also directed against Luleå Municipality, which is displaying the work at Luleå Art Hall, and according to SR, the municipality welcomes the investigation into the matter.
