The text message - which was sent out on Saturday morning and, according to the SD's press department, went to "a broad group" - states that "The Social Democrats and the Sweden Democrats agree that all Muslim independent schools should be closed," reports Expressen.
But the Social Democrats have not agreed with the SD on this, S stresses. The SD wants to turn it into an issue about Muslims, the party believes.

S wants to ban all types of denominational, that is, religious, independent schools.
Regardless of religion, we don't want religious elements during the school day. But we think that for all religions, says Andersson.
She says that S will never cooperate with SD.
This type of text message is one of many reasons for that.
"Dirty election campaign"
S calls the mailing a violation of the law. "This shows once again what a dirty election campaign the Sweden Democrats are conducting," the party's press service writes to Expressen.
However, Sweden Democrats party leader Jimmie Åkesson hits back:
"Their entire election campaign is one big dirty trick. It's reasonable. They are mobilizing among Muslim voters and then it's reasonable that someone informs these voters about what the Social Democrats think about Muslim religious independent schools," he tells TV4.

According to the Swedish Privacy Authority, IMY, political parties have limited ability to send political advertising via SMS.
Last year, the authority reviewed text messages and emails from M and SD. According to Expressen, the authority concluded that the messages violated GDPR.
SD's press chief Oskar Cavalli-Björkman responds that the party believes that S shares the party's view on Muslim independent schools, and that it is "an important signal to send from the two largest parties in the Riksdag."
