–A man came in who I later saw was my uncle, a problematic man and he always has been. He had some eggs and threw some at me, but I didn't know what he had in his hands. And when I first saw him I thought he might be carrying a weapon, says Luis Rubiales.
He was on stage to present his new book “Matar a Rubiales” (“Killing Rubiales”). The book is about what Rubiales calls his “public execution” after he was convicted of sexual assault against Spanish World Cup player Jennifer Hermoso, whom he kissed on the mouth after winning the 2023 World Cup.
In the book, Rubiales claims that he is the victim of a “sudden far-left movement” that has created a parallel reality to profit from the situation and to divert attention from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
Rubiales has always denied that he kissed Hermoso without her consent.
