"Stay in safe places and follow the warnings," the air defence announced via text message to the emirate's population.
After less than 15 minutes, the alarm was sounded. The emirate later accused Iran of firing two ballistic missiles at the country. Both missiles reportedly landed in the Persian Gulf.
The warning was the first since a false alarm in June. The last serious warning came in May.
Tuesday's alarm came just hours after US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that "no talks or conversations (with Iran) are taking place or are planned."
