There were listeria bacteria in 13 different foods at the luxury restaurant Coco & Carmen in Stockholm, including in truffles, a coffee dessert and a wild boar soup.

The first test results after the extensive listeria outbreak at Coco & Carmen have arrived. Three samples stand out: truffle mix, semifreddo espresso, and wild boar consommé, writes the municipality's environmental administration, cited by Expressen.

"None of the ingredients in the two cold dishes are historically associated with a risk of listeria. The consommé is cooked, which minimizes the risk through the death of bacteria. Our investigation has not been able to establish the cause of the company's growth of listeria in its premises or why the level in three samples is higher. The investigation is still ongoing and more analysis results are expected", writes the environmental administration.

According to Aftonbladet , a total of 13 foods have tested positive for listeria. The newspaper also writes that listeria bacteria have been found on several surfaces in the restaurant's premises, but not how high the concentration of bacteria was.

15 people have so far been confirmed infected with listeria after visiting the restaurant at the end of September. Over 150 people have sought hospital care in Region Stockholm after the listeria outbreak. However, the incubation period for the more serious symptoms of listeria infection, such as blood poisoning and meningitis, can be up to three weeks.

The restaurant has been closed after the outbreak, but announces on Friday afternoon that it will reopen on Saturday, October 11. Among other things, it has been sanitized with hydrogen peroxide.
