The task comes after last week's Iranian drone attack on the Ras Laffan gas production facility and the threat to energy transport through the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
The new facility, according to sources, has a production capacity of 32 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Its inauguration could be postponed even further if the war with Iran continues and energy cannot be shipped through the Strait of Hormuz.
