The goal – 3Arena and the premiere round in Allsvenskan between Hammarby IF and IFK Göteborg.
In the Stockholm police, a special event has been set up due to the football weekend, and extra resources have been called in from Stockholm, as well as police officers with specialist expertise from other regions.
Based on crowd flows and intelligence information, we know that this weekend poses a significant strain on Stockholm. We have prepared ourselves both carefully and for a long time, says Tobias Lövström, commanding officer at the police.
What is the situation right now?
So far, the Bajen march has looked like it usually does, which means disorderly conduct, traffic disruptions, but nothing extraordinary, says Lövström.
Yesterday, when Djurgården hosted Malmö FF, three riot-like situations occurred at different locations in Stockholm, and a total of five police officers were injured.
We have planned for unrest, disruptions, and crimes, but it is, of course, very unfortunate that police officers get injured, even though we have routines in place for when it happens, says Lövström, and emphasizes that the police are working intensively to intervene against crimes and protect outsiders from unrest.
