For a long period, Paul Pogba was one of the biggest names in football.
After leaving Manchester United's youth ranks for Juventus, he made a splash, before being signed back to Man United for a record sum of around a billion.
Six years in the red shirt ended with a move back to Juventus in 2022, but the return was far from a success story. First the season was marred by injuries, then came the doping ban that in the fall of 2023 stopped him from all football for a year and a half.
Pogba took the next step in his bid to revive his career this summer when he signed for Monaco on a free transfer. However, the autumn has been marred by new injury problems and his comeback has been delayed. But now the 32-year-old is back.
In Saturday's Ligue 1 clash with Rennes, Pogba was substituted in the 85th minute - his first appearance in a competitive match in 811 days. He last played in September 2023, when he played for Juventus against Empoli in Serie A.
Pogba was a key player in the France team that won the World Cup in 2018 and has 91 international caps to his name.
