Monday's attack in the Sagaing region was directed, according to the reports, against a Buddhist festival and a protest that demanded the release of political prisoners. Hundreds of people had gathered for the festival.
One of the people on the festival committee states that over 40 people were killed in the attack and that around 80 others were injured.
The committee warned people and a third of the crowd managed to escape, she says.
But immediately, a motorized paraglider flew straight over the crowd and dropped two bombs.
She describes how people helped each other to pick up body parts from the ground after the attack.
The military junta has not commented on the reports.
The civil war in Myanmar began when the military took power from Aung San Suu Kyi's elected government in February 2021. Large parts of the country, including the place where the attack took place, are under the control of resistance forces.
