The Federation lent the money to the company before the World Championship, and now wants to have the money back.
The Norwegian Ski Federation is one of around 100 creditors who have made economic demands on the company behind the ski-World Championship. 50 creditors have not yet done so, although the last day for registration was actually on Tuesday.
In May, it became known that the ski-World Championship in Trondheim made a huge economic loss. The company behind expected a surplus of 15-20 million kronor, but instead looks like it will go 20-30 million kronor in the red.
The company that arranged the ski-World Championship is owned to 60 percent by the Norwegian Ski Federation, 30 percent by Sør-Trøndelags Ski District, and the last 10 percent is owned by Trondheim Municipality.
